The Level 1 Maintenance Technician is an entry-level role responsible for supporting basic maintenance tasks, preventative maintenance, and troubleshooting under supervision to ensure smooth operations of production equipment and facilities. This role starts at $27.00 per hour. Pay increases with experience!

Essential Duties

Essential duties are interpreted as being descriptive and not restrictive in nature. Other duties may be assigned.

• Conducts routine maintenance checks and assists with preventative maintenance on insulation production equipment.
• Performs basic repairs under supervision (e.g., replace belts, fuses, or bearings).
• Assists in equipment inspections, including RTO systems, chillers, and basic HVAC components.
• Completes work orders and logs maintenance activities accurately using CMMS systems.
• Monitors performance of machinery, reporting abnormalities or potential issues to senior team members.
• Assists with maintenance of tools and parts inventory.
• Maintains cleanliness and organization of tools, equipment, and work areas.
• Operates forklifts and other equipment safely and efficiently.
• Follows all safety procedures, including lock-out/tag-out protocols and PPE compliance.

• Ensure that all duties related to product compliance are adhered to in accordance with the Product Compliance Policy, Laws, Regulations and market demands.
• Responsible for all tasks to achieve compliance goals and demands of Compliance Management System.
• Must raise concerns related to the Compliance Management System to their supervisor, manager, any member of the Leadership Team, or through the confidential whistle blower service.
  
  

Education And Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1 years of experience in mechanical or maintenance roles preferred.
  
  

Skills And Competencies

• Mechanical Aptitude: Basic understanding of mechanics, tools, and systems.
• Team Collaboration: Ability to work effectively under supervision in a team-based environment.
• Problem-Solving: Ability to identify minor issues and assist in troubleshooting.
• Safety Awareness: Strong adherence to health and safety protocols.
