Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Payable Clerk to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the company’s accounts payable functions, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices, and maintaining financial records. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles and proficiency in accounting software.
Responsibilities
- Managing accounts payable using accounting software, SAP Business one and SAP Hana
- Establishing and maintaining relationships with new and existing vendors
- Set up vendors and call backs to verify bank details
- Processing due invoices for payments
- Issue purchase orders
- Track outgoing payments
- Verify expense reports
- Reconcile statements and payment records
- Ensure payment credits are applied correctly
- Correspond with vendors regarding billing and payments
- Analyze accounts
- Prepare OPEX and CAPEX reports
- Perform Bank reconciliation
- Work with the Finance Controller to develop and implement financial policies and procedures
- Support audits by providing necessary documentation and information regarding accounts payable activities
Qualifications
- Proven experience in public accounting or a similar role is preferred
- Willingness and proven ability to develop processes and procedures quickly
- Demonstrated ability to work proactively and independently
- Detail oriented and ability to perform tasks with a high degree of accuracy
- Ability to communicate and enforce adherence to processes, procedures, and performance objectives
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with vendors and internal stakeholders
