Manufacturing Employee

Position Summary:

Operate machinery to ensure good quality product produced to required schedules. As a startup operation this position offers numerous opportunities to contribute, achieve, and grow within the company. This will require flexibility for many tasks.
Initially day shift role but future growth will require shift working. Ability to travel within the USA and possibly Europe for small time periods to train.

Essential Duties:

• Work in a safe manner following the companies SOP’s. Focus on safety, highlighting possible improvements to management.
• Effectively communicate with other stations/teammates.
• Continually monitor the product throughout the production run and ensure Quality and Product Compliance Requirements maintained.
• Notify QC and Foreman of any product issues immediately.
• Continually monitor production equipment.
• Notify Maintenance and Foreman of any equipment issues immediately.
• Ensure workplace organized and clean.
• Perform a wide range of duties.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Know how to run machines.
• Know how to perform routine maintenance tasks.
• Knowledge of safety rules, correct machine operation, common sense.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Education and Experience

• Must have mathematic proficiency to include arithmetic (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division), as well as adding and subtracting fractions.
• Must have the ability to accurately use a tape measure.
• Able to document basic information.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to work up to 12 hours per day. Hours, days and shifts depend on the production schedule and are not guaranteed.
• Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, climb stairs, crouch, lean, reach, twist, and other physical movements for extended periods of time.
• Ability to work in conditions typical of a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to wear prescribed personal protective equipment and appropriate clothing.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Ability to read, write, type, and verbally communicate fluently in English.
• Must be able to effectively use a computer, monitor, keyboard, mouse, and commonly used software to complete necessary functions assigned.
• Must have finger dexterity, visual acuity, discernment of sounds, colour, and texture.
• Must be able to use tools, equipment, machinery, etc.
• Must be reliable and dependable.
