The Bistro Attendant is responsible for providing excellent customer service, operating the POS system, taking orders, organizing and plating food, and ensuring the dining areas are clean and organized. This role involves ensuring a pleasant dining experience by maintaining cleanliness, stocking condiments, and ensuring the café area is sanitized and welcoming to residents. The Bistro Attendant also works closely with kitchen and dining staff to ensure timely food service and efficient operation in the café.

Requirements
Key Responsibilities :
1. Customer Service & Order Taking :
Greet residents and guests warmly and take their orders accurately and efficiently.Use the POS system to input orders, process payments, and check out customers.Answer any questions about the menu, assist with menu choices, and ensure a positive customer experience.2. Food Organization & Plating :
Organize and plate food orders according to facility standards and presentation guidelines.Ensure all food items are properly portioned and garnished before serving.Work with kitchen staff to ensure food is served promptly and accurately.3. Restocking & Condiments Station :
Regularly check and restock condiment stations to ensure they are well-supplied and organized.Monitor inventory levels for items such as condiments, utensils, napkins, and beverage supplies.Replenish supplies as needed to maintain continuous service during café hours.4. Sanitation & Dining Area Organization :
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in the dining area, including sweeping, wiping tables, and sanitizing surfaces.Ensure dining areas are organized and set up for the next meal service.Clean and sanitize high-touch areas frequently to ensure a safe dining environment.5. Facility Compliance & Safety :
Adhere to all health, safety, and sanitation standards for food service and café operations.Follow facility policies for safe handling and storage of food items.Ensure compliance with all relevant health codes and guidelines.6. Collaboration & Communication :
Communicate effectively with kitchen staff, dining room supervisors, and other café attendants to ensure smooth operations.Notify supervisors of any issues with food orders, inventory shortages, or cleanliness concerns.Provide support for any special café events, resident requests, or dietary needs as directed by management.7. Additional Duties as Assigned :
Assist with café set-up and breakdown before and after meal services.Perform additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor or café manager to ensure efficient operation.Qualifications :
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.Previous experience in a café, restaurant, or food service environment preferred.Basic knowledge of using a POS system and handling cash transactions.Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with residents, guests, and staff.Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.Knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures.Salary Description $18 - $21 hourly
