Job Overview
The Safety and Security Team Member promotes a transformative guest experience, providing a safe and secure work and guest environment through implementing daily safety and security procedures. They ensure the safe and security of all people and property associated with Kingwood through daily monitoring, patrolling for irregularities and inspection of security and alarm systems.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Secures premises and personnel by opening/closing and patrolling of property; monitoring surveillance equipment; inspecting buildings, equipment, and access points; permitted entry points
- Prevents losses and damage, reporting irregularities; informs violators of policy and procedures; monitoring trespassers as a part of an emergency service’s response
- Documents observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities; interviews witnesses; obtains signatures to complete incident reports
- Controls traffic by directing drivers
- Serves as point of contact with emergency services for specific onsite incidents in the absence of Team Lead
- Maintains a positive, collaborative and solution orientated demeanor when requesting to or serving staff and guests
- All other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Prolonged periods of continuous standing, sitting, or walking along with occasional stooping, bending, reaching, crouching
- Ability to lift 50 pounds occasionally
- Must be able to move around garden in all weather conditions
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed
- Possess strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
- Must be goal-oriented, flexible, and adaptable to potential unanticipated opportunities
- Must be able to organize workflows to ensure necessary details are captured and enacted
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions in real time
- Ability to collaborate with persons of all ages, diverse backgrounds, skills, and abilities including staff, guests, and volunteers
- Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from guests,
- Ability to maintain a professional demeanor in dynamic or stressful circumstances
- Experience working with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and standard office equipment as well as electronic assess and surveillance systems
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or higher is preferred
- At least one year experience in safety and security positions preferred
- Must be first aid and CPR certified or willing to get certification
- Must have a valid Ohio Driver’s License
