Operations Assistant - Kingz Kimonos

Position Overview
The Operations Assistant reports to the Operations Manager and plays a critical role in managing day-to-day operations, ensuring efficient and accurate order fulfillment, and maintaining high standards in all aspects of shipping, purchasing, and team coordination.
Schedule:
- 40 hr weeks, Monday to Friday 8:30am-5:00pm
Hourly Wage:
- Starting at $22 per hour

Key Responsibilities
Shipping & Fulfillment:
- Manage daily packing and shipping operations to ensure product quality, economical packaging, and order accuracy.
- Apply best practices to meet shipping standards and deadlines.
Receiving & Stock Management
- Oversee inventory receipt, ensuring accuracy and timeliness pply best practices to meet shipping standards and deadlines.
- Assist in maintaining stock organization and replenishment processes.
Purchasing Support
- Assist with processing purchase orders, verifying completeness and accuracy and collaborating with vendors to address discrepancies.
- Participates in the vendor negotiation process to optimize product availability and delivery timelines
Team Coordination
- Ensure the team meets production goals and labor targets.
- Conduct daily team meetings to communicate changes, updates, and priorities.
- Submit detailed shift reports explaining achievements or barriers to success.
Process Improvement
- Develop and implement methods to eliminate operational challenges and enhance process quality.
- Maintain and update department documentation, processes, and procedures.
Additional Responsibilities
- Drive a cargo van to pick up and deliver small shipments as needed.
- Work overtime during peak periods as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
- At least 3 years of experience in a lead role within a distribution center or warehouse environment.
- Strong experience in warehouse operations, including shipping, receiving, and inventory control.
- Proficient in using Warehouse Management Software to track and resolve order-related issues.
- Skilled in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and Google Suite or SharePoint.
- Strong communication skills for interaction with associates, management, and executives.
- Flexible and adaptable to change.
- Proven problem-solving abilities.
- Commitment to process control and operational consistency.
Physical Demands:
- Ability to stand and walk for up to 8 hours.
- Capable of pushing, pulling, bending, lifting, stretching, and reaching both below the waist and above the head.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
