Position Overview:
Kinhaven Music School is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Health Care Provider for our summer music camp. This individual will be responsible for the daily health and wellness of campers and staff, working closely with our on-site Registered Nurse to provide high-quality care. The ideal candidate will have experience in a school, camp, or pediatric setting and possess the necessary certifications to handle first aid, minor illnesses, and health-related emergencies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide first aid and basic medical care for campers and staff.
- Distribute medications as directed by the on-site RN.
- Maintain accurate health records and documentation of care provided.
- Respond to medical concerns, including minor injuries, allergies, and common illnesses.
- Assist in organizing and implementing health and safety policies.
- Monitor and promote hygiene and wellness among campers and staff.
- Communicate with parents and guardians regarding camper health needs as necessary.
- Support the RN in managing the camp’s health center and ensuring compliance with state health regulations.
- Be available for on-call health needs during camp activities.
Qualifications:
- Current CPR and First Aid certification required.
- Additional certifications (e.g., Wilderness First Aid, EMT, LPN, Athletic Training) are preferred.
- Experience in a camp, school, or similar setting is strongly preferred.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, community-oriented environment.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to exercise sound judgment in health-related situations.
