GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:
- Prepare financial statements on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
- Monitor the financial performance of the company through rolling forecasts and general long-term forecasting.
- Ensure adherence to GAAP.
- Maintain State Registrations and Licenses in regional area; manage new state application process as necessary.
- Manage support staff regarding execution of accounts receivable and accounts payable, providing final accountability for accuracy.
- Provide on-going bank reconciliations and maintain banking relationships.
- Provide sales tax and payroll tax reporting for each respective business entity.
- Optimize cash and working capital.
- Work with project management staff to invoice subcontractors and ensure job cost accuracy.
- Manage insurance and bonding.
- Through dotted line reporting, manage human resources with regard to payroll, insurance renewals, benefits offerings and workers' compensation compliance.
- Manage IT systems and procedures through 3rd party contractors; manage system migrations.
- Responsible for tax coordination procedures and related audit procedures with the company’s accounting firm and general counsel.
- Work with ownership and executive team to strategize and set processes and procedure to obtain financial goals.
- Manage purchasing agent, accounting assistant and IT vendor.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
· Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related; CPA and/or MBA is preferred.
· 5 years of experience as a Controller or Accounting Manager, with final accountability for maintaining General Legers and adhering to GAAP.
· 3 years’ experience in financial modeling and forecasting.
· Experience with audit preparation.
· Experience working in the Construction, Architecture, Engineering industry is desirable.
· Advanced excel skills with proficiency in the suite of Office 365 products; knowledge of Viewpoint Vista and, Procore is highly desired.
· Proactive disposition to identify and proactively resolve or circumvent challenges.
