Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to assist our professional staff in the triaging, processing, and delivery of prescriptions to patients.
The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the supervising pharmacist with training and development of staff, assigning tasks to ensure workload is balanced and completed, and ensuring consistent application of organizational policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Answering telephones and responding to customer inquiries
- Assisting with inventory management, including ordering, receiving, and stocking of medications
- Performing data entry and adjudication workflow steps
- Executing the plan and understanding specific aspects of the pharmacy management system and POS system
- Ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations and company operational policies and procedures
- Providing quality customer service and ensuring all pharmacy staff provides excellent patient care
- Staying current with State and Federal requirements as well as corporate goals and initiatives
Qualifications:
- Minimum: High School Diploma (or currently enrolled) or GED
- Preferred: AS Degree or Higher Required
Vermont Employees: Registered with the State of Vermont as a Pharmacy Technician
Experience: Preferred: Hospital or retail pharmacy experience
