Job Summary:
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Director of Operations is responsible for overseeing the organization’s daily operations in ensuring efficiency and driving the overall business performance. The ideal candidate will maintain strategic oversight of diverse business functions, while optimizing systems, processes and providing oversight of the company’s personnel, in supporting the company’s growth objectives. The Director of Operations will collaborate closely with the executive leadership team in developing and implementing operational strategies that enhance scalability, streamline workflows and improve overall organizational effectiveness.
Duties / Responsibilities:
Vision and Strategy:
Ensure metrics for each surgeon’s office are achieved on a consistent basis;
Provide strategic insight and critical business initiatives decision-making, including market expansion, partnerships and acquisitions;
Develop and implement operational strategies that balance growth, profitability and organizational needs, while addressing employee and surgeons’ expectations;
Ensure the organization has the correct operational structures, controls, relevant talent in place to scale effectively, maintains financial health and optimizes overall efficiency.
Leadership / Management:
Lead cross-functional teams in the strategic execution of the company’s vision, while ensuring alignment across all departments;
Establish clear performance expectations and hold teams accountable for achieving individual, departmental and company-wide goals;
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to anticipate challenges and develop proactive solutions that drive business success;
Oversee personnel responsible for patient/surgeon account engagement, while maintaining strong relationships and high service standards;
Supervise product development/implementation engineering team in the oversight of quality control;
Assist in setting measurable organizational and business unit goals, ensuring alignment with company strategy;
Implement coaching, mentorship and professional development programs to align employees with company objectives and drive performance.
Operations:
Measure and optimize effectiveness of internal and external processes (e.g. surgeon and patient lifecycles), identifying new opportunities for efficiency and improvement;
Provide timely, accurate and comprehensive reports on the company’s operational performance, while offering strategic insights to drive decision-making processes;
Establish service objectives aligned with company strategy and vision, while ensuring consistency and high-quality execution
Ensure a consistent and exceptional service experience across all business units;
Allocate and manage resources effectively, ensuring that business units have the tools, personnel and infrastructure needed to meet objectives;
Drive profitable growth by implementing strategies that enhance customer retention, streamline operations and reduce costs;
Identify and implement technology solutions that enhance operational efficiency and streamline workflows;
Optimize CRM, sales platforms and data analytics tools to improve customer engagement and decision-making processes;
Partner with the executive team in developing budgets, forecasts and financial strategies that support growth;
Ensure compliance with industry regulations, quality standards and legal requirements (e.g., FDA, HIPAA, ISO);
Develop and enforce risk management strategies to ensure operational and financial stability;
Lead continuous improvement and change management initiatives to ensure company’s service model remains adaptable to evolving client and market needs.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Operational Management, Finance, or similar discipline;
MBA preferred;
10 years of proven executive leadership experience, with a concentration on operations, strategy and organizational growth; 7 of successfully managing multiple teams involving sales, finance, customer service and compliance and regulatory requirements within the medical, or healthcare industries;
5 years of experience in medical sales or a related industry, with a deep understanding of the market, customer needs and regulatory environment (e.g., FDA, HIPAA, ISO);
7 years of using a customer relationship management (CRM) system, maintaining relationships with key clients such as surgeons, healthcare providers and distributors;
Proficiency in software applications to include the MS Office suite of products, ERP systems and Salesforce.
Exceptional oral and written communication and interpersonal skills;
Astute time management, attention to detail, accuracy, organizational, planning, effective multi-tasking, problem-solving, follow-through, customer service skills and ability to work to tight deadlines;
Ability to work effectively alone and within a collaborative team environment.
Compensation:
$185K - $250K DOE base salary for this full-time, exempt position.
Annual bonus opportunity

Paid vacation of 160 hours annually which begins accruing on start date;
Paid sick time of 40 hours annually allotted in a lump sum at the beginning of the year.
