Location : Seattle, WA (Not a remote or hybrid position)
Mission :
Our client, a producer of premium dairy products, is looking for a Quality Assurance Manager to add to their team. In this position, you will plan, organize, and direct quality assurance personnel and programs to assure that plant products conform to a defined product quality standards, as well as, Federal, State, and local standards of product identity, safety and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's).
Successful candidates MUST HAVE experience in a food processing plant environment (and / or other singular qualifier under Competencies / Culture below).

What you'll be responsible for :
Monitors and reports plant sanitation efforts makes appropriate recommendations to management.
Responsible for implementing and auditing in-plant quality programs including, but not limited to : GMPs, HACCP, weight control, master sanitation schedule, pest control, Appendix N, and sanitation.
Assists in complying with regulatory requirements related to product safety and quality.
Supervises the operation of the plant laboratory ensuring all procedures are followed
Halt production line, reject ingredients or packaging materials, and stop shipment on any finished products in serious violation of company or regulatory requirements or standards.
Provides management and corporate quality personnel with regular and complete reports on all matters about quality issues and standards.
Works closely with vendors and customers on product quality reports and audits.
Works closely with the Plant Manager in other areas including, but not limited to involvement in R&D projects, and other projects and assignments as needed.
Competencies / Culture :
Bachelor's Degree in Food Science or related field
3 years of QA leadership experience in a food processing environment
Combined experience in QA, QC, Sanitation and Production
Experience in a dairy facility, butter preferred
Bilingual Spanish / English (preferred but not necessary)
