Kinsale offers a paid internship with the opportunity for law school credit. We are onsite at our fabulous new building in Richmond, VA, and you must be able to come into the office.
A typical day as a Claims Law School intern might include...
- Work with a fast-paced, tight knit team gaining insight into different areas within the claims department
- Exposure to a wide variety of tort claims, including personal injury, medical malpractice and construction defect
- Observe the work of established claim professionals in reviewing liability, evaluating exposure, and discussing claim valuation and resolution
- Gain insight into insurance litigation, including both coverage and defense
- Learn and understand how to investigate and analyze coverage
- Review contract drafting with our Product Development team
- Complete challenging and meaningful project work
- Shadow claim professionals within the Property, Casualty, Specialty and Coverage units.
