Kinsale is seeking a Training and Development Specialist who is creative and well-organized. Are you a current Underwriter or Claims professional in the Excess and Surplus Insurance industry and want to pivot into training? This is your time to take that skill set and work with over 300 underwriters in facilitating and creating cutting edge content. Your knowledge of coverage forms, experience assessing and analyzing submissions, pricing risks, and more will help you develop and maintain existing training courses and materials along with leading and facilitating professional training for employee development.
Responsibilities
Create and manage informative, and engaging content for new and existing training courses
Lead and facilitate professional training for employee development
Evaluate training data and feedback to identify new training needs and propose recommendations using various tools such as Excel, Survey Monkey and AI
Analyze and assess training data and feedback to identifying change needs to existing training and metrics
Collaborate with IT, Underwriting, Claims and Operations on requirements gathering for course development
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Risk Management & Insurance, or related field
Minimum 3 years' experience in Excess & Surplus insurance industry is required
Experience designing, facilitating, or developing training, learning, or education programs preferred
Excellent oral and written communications skills.
PC literacy, with emphasis on Outlook, Word, and Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint and Planner.
Strong analytical and organizational skills.
A team-oriented and entrepreneurial spirit
Curiosity and exploration with innovative technologies to enhance the training process
Ability to evaluate training effectiveness
Adept with a variety of multimedia training platforms and methods
Familiarity with adult learning theories is preferable
Strong presentation skills
Excellent oral and written communications skills to all levels of employees and management
Detail-oriented, well-organized, and effective time management skills
Takes initiative, having the ability to work independently and proactively
Willingness to continue pursuing your own training, learning, and development
