What are the responsibilities and job description for the Receiving Clerk position at Kinship Group LLC?
Essential Functions
- Opens containers, unwraps, and sorts material by order.
- Compares material and packing slip to Purchase Order (P.O.) to ensure accuracy.
- Stages materials to appropriate storage areas or departments using forklift or pallet jack.
- Processes orders at will call desk as needed.
- Loads LTL and FLT shipments.
- Processes orders at the shipping desk via FedEx and UPS.
- Packs, seals, labels, or affixes postage to prepare materials for shipping.
- Updates receiving log daily in Microsoft Excel.
- Coordinates activities with workers engaged in packing and shipping materials.
- Communicates with Purchasing and Sales Staff for any inaccuracies, damages, and general questions about material being received.
- Performs administrative duties such as answering phones, updating records, and providing excellent customer service.
- Safely perform the physical demands below.
Job Qualifications
- Preferred Education: High school diploma or equivalent
- Preferred Experience: Prior experience contributing to warehouse operations
- All offers of employment will be contingent on satisfactory results of a pre-employment drug screen.

Physical Demands & Work Environment
- Constantly works in warehouse environment with limited temperature control
- Occasionally stationed at a desk working on a computer/keyboarding
- Frequently moves about the warehouse
- Frequently moves up to 25 pounds, occasionally up to 50 pounds
- Seldom moves up to 100 pounds
- Occasionally ascends/descends portable stairs and/or ladders
- Frequently communicates verbally

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
- This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Salary : $21 - $24
