Job Title: Med Tech

Position Summary:
Kinsington Oak Grove, a premier 60-bed memory care community in Medford, OR, is seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Med Tech to join our team. As a Med Tech, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional care to our residents, ensuring their medication management and daily health needs are met in a safe, respectful, and professional manner.
Responsibilities:
- Medication Management:
- Administer medications accurately according to prescribed schedules.
- Maintain detailed and accurate medication records, including updates to resident charts and documentation of administered dosages.
- Ensure medication storage and handling complies with state and federal regulations.
- Resident Care:
- Assist with personal care tasks, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and mobility support as needed.
- Monitor residents for any changes in health or behavior and promptly report concerns to nursing staff or supervisors.
- Provide emotional support and foster a positive, engaging environment for residents with memory care needs.
- Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with caregivers, nurses, and other team members to ensure the overall well-being of residents.
- Participate in care plan meetings and contribute insights to improve resident care.
- Maintain open communication with families and loved ones of residents.
- Compliance & Safety:
- Follow all policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements for medication administration and resident care.
- Ensure the cleanliness and organization of medication carts and work areas.
- Support infection control and safety protocols.
Qualifications:
- Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Current Medication Administration Certification (CMA) or equivalent in Oregon.
- CPR and First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
- Previous experience in a memory care, assisted living, or healthcare setting.
- Preferred:
- Strong understanding of dementia and Alzheimer’s care.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.
