SUMMARY OF POSITION
Kinsley is currently seeking 3rd shift Plant Maintenance/Millwrights to join our growing team. Primary responsibilities include repairing plant equipment, preventative maintenance activities, equipment inspections, and performing other related duties as required. The Plant Maintenance/Millwrights will work on job plants in and around Hagerstown, MD. Normal work hours will be from 10:00pm to 6:30am, Sunday through Thursday.
Successful candidates should possess good mechanical skills, and be proficient at troubleshooting, updating, and repairing plant equipment.
The shift differential rate is $2.50 per hour.
TYPICAL RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Use basic hand tools.
- Input information in work order system using a computer.
- Perform basic welding and use a cutting torch as necessary.
- Understand and learn equipment operation through training, observation, and reading operations manuals.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area.
- Develop and maintain positive customer relations.
- Efficiently communicate with other plant personnel.
- Perform other related duties as required.
REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma or GED is required; secondary education is appreciated and will be considered when determining pay scale.
- 2-3 years of experience in plant maintenance (heavy industry environment) is required.
- Willingness to work 3rd shift is required.
- Comprehension of machine manuals is required.
- Current driver's license is required.
- Ability to work independently and have a strong work ethic.
- Basic computer skills are required.
- Must be familiar with and willing to learn OSHA safety regulations.
- Must be familiar with working around cranes and hand signals.
- Strong organization, oral, and written communication skills.
