SUMMARY OF POSITION
We are seeking a Truck Driver Dispatcher to join our Civil Site team in Hagerstown, MD. The Dispatcher will coordinate and dispatch truck drivers while ensuring the efficient transportation of materials and equipment to and from job sites. The ideal candidate will have experience in logistics, dispatching, or transportation coordination, with strong organizational and communication skills. TYPICAL RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Schedule and dispatch truck drivers for material and equipment transportation.
- Coordinate with drivers and Site Operations to ensure timely deliveries.
- Monitor and track truck locations, loads, and job site requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of schedules, deliveries, and equipment movement.
- Assist in resolving logistical issues to prevent delays and inefficiencies.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
- Prior experience in truck dispatching, logistics, or transportation coordination.
- Comfortable using a computer and learning new software systems.
- Basic experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
- Strong organizational and communication skills for dispatch coordination.
- Familiarity with trucks, trailers, and equipment.
- Ability to use state oversize permitting systems or know-how permits work.
- Physically capable of lifting and moving heavy materials as required.
- Commitment to safety, punctuality, and reliability.
