SUMMARY OF POSITION
Kinsley Materials is currently seeking a disciplined Estimator for our growing Precast team in York, PA. The Estimator will be responsible for preparing estimates for all types of precast concrete construction projects.
A successful candidate should have prior estimating experience, strong computer and communication skills, and a willingness to learn.
TYPICAL RESPONSIBILITIES / ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Review plans and specifications for completeness and prepare RFI’s for additional information required
- Prepare detailed estimates and update the current project estimate for changes or additions to the scope of the project
- Prepare detailed takeoffs
- Stay abreast of current technology and construction methods in an effort to continually improve production and quality
- Must have time management skills and be able to meet bid schedules
- Perform other related duties to support the Precast team
REQUIREMENTS
- TITAN 3000 Precast Software experience is highly preferred
- Advanced comprehension of drawings and specifications
- 5 years of previous estimating or detailing experience preferred
- 2-4 year post-secondary degree preferred
- Must be detail-oriented and have strong communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.)
- Ability to be a team player and also work independently
