Talent Acquisition Leader
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Talent Acquisition Leader to oversee and drive our full-cycle recruiting initiatives, focusing on attracting, assessing, and hiring top-tier talent across all levels, from hourly craft workers to executive leadership. This individual will collaborate closely with hiring managers and leadership to understand workforce needs, develop strategic recruiting solutions, and align with company objectives. Additionally, this role will support broader HR initiatives, compliance, and reporting activities.
Key Responsibilities:
Recruitment & Talent Strategy:
- Lead the full-cycle recruitment process for a variety of roles, including hourly manufacturing, professional, and executive-level positions.
- Partner with department leaders to assess hiring needs and develop accurate job descriptions.
- Manage and maintain the Applicant Tracking System (ATS), ensuring data integrity and consistent process execution.
- Utilize a mix of traditional and creative sourcing methods, including social media, job boards, career fairs, community partnerships, and direct outreach, to attract a diverse pool of qualified candidates.
- Build and maintain relationships with educational institutions and community organizations to foster emerging talent pipelines.
- Oversee internal mobility, including transfers and promotions, ensuring smooth transitions.
- Develop and maintain candidate pipelines for current and future hiring needs.
- Coordinate pre-employment processes such as background checks, license verifications, and employment references.
- Act as the primary point of contact for candidates, providing consistent and timely communication throughout the recruitment process.
- Deliver offer letters and negotiate terms in collaboration with hiring managers.
- Continuously assess and implement improvements to streamline recruitment workflows, enhance automation, and optimize the candidate experience.
- Evaluate and enhance sourcing strategies, tools, and vendor partnerships to improve recruiting outcomes.
HR Compliance & Reporting:
- Support Affirmative Action Program (AAP) initiatives, including outreach tracking, applicant logs, and compliance documentation.
- Prepare and file federally required reports such as EEO-1 and VETS-4212.
- Ensure all recruitment practices comply with applicable labor laws and company policies.
- Track, analyze, and report on recruiting metrics and key performance indicators.
Organizational Support & Collaboration:
- Assist with onboarding and integration strategies aimed at improving retention and employee satisfaction.
- Coordinate onboarding logistics, including the preparation and distribution of welcome materials and compliance documents.
- Support employee performance review processes, including reminders and tracking for evaluations.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on talent acquisition best practices and market trends.
- Promote the company’s employer brand through digital platforms, recruiting events, and community outreach.
- Demonstrate leadership in environmental health and safety principles, policies, and procedures.
- Contribute to the company’s continuous improvement efforts in safety, quality, and productivity.
- Lead initiatives that foster a culture of integrity, fairness, and a positive work environment.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP certification (or equivalent experience/education combination) is a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in full-cycle recruiting, with exposure to various hiring levels and functions.
- Experience recruiting within a manufacturing environment.
- Proven ability to develop creative sourcing strategies and deliver results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel and PowerPoint) and ATS platforms (ADP experience is a plus).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to write clear, grammatically correct job postings, emails, and internal documentation.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and work independently as well as collaboratively.
- Adaptability and flexibility, with the ability to shift priorities in response to changing needs.
Preferred:
- Experience recruiting across all organizational levels, including executive, salaried professionals, and skilled hourly employees.
- Familiarity with HRIS platforms, particularly ADP.
- Prior experience supporting Affirmative Action or EEO compliance.
- Willingness to travel up to 10-15% of the time.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Frequent standing, walking, sitting, and bending throughout the workday.
- Must be able to work in a manufacturing environment, including exposure to machinery, noise, chemicals, and other environmental factors.
- Ability to wear appropriate Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) as required by the position or company policies.
