Kinsley Steel, Inc., a rapidly growing steel fabrication and installation company is seeking an experienced Class A CDL Truck Driver to deliver structural steel throughout the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic Region.
The duties of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:

Key Responsibilities
- Safely and Professionally operate a Tractor Trailer with a Flatbed Trailer (45', 48', 53', or Stretch), straight truck, or other vehicles to haul steel and equipment.
- Properly secure loads using chains, binders, and straps to ensure stability during transport.
- Physically load and unload materials from trucks, trailers, shop floors, and ground using manual lifting, forklifts, or overhead cranes.
- Coordinate with shipping and receiving for daily deliveries and pickups.
- Plan routes and delivery schedules to meet deadlines while following all DOT regulations and company safety policies.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date Driver's Log, Safety Reports, and other required documents per state and federal regulations.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the truck and trailer are in safe operating condition.
- Report any mechanical issues, defects, accidents, or violations to the appropriate personnel.
- Ensure proper maintenance of vehicles, including refueling, cleaning, and minor repairs as needed.
- Ensure vehicle is kept clean and organized.
- Drivers are responsible for performing minor preventive maintenance on their trucks and trailers
- Maintain professional communication with dispatchers, customers, and team members.
- Ensure all freight documents are signed and submitted in a timely manner.
- Assist the team in other non-driving related tasks when deliveries are not needed.
Requirements
- Valid Class A CDL license (with a clean driving record).
- Minimum 5 years of commercial truck driving experience (preferred).
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.
- Experience delivering to construction jobsites is preferred.
- Experience hauling stretch and wide loads is not required but a plus
- Knowledge of securing structural steel, stairs, and rails is a plus.
- Strong understanding of DOT safety procedures, load securement, and compliance.
- Ability to work overtime and Saturdays as required.
- Ability to stay out of town on occasion.
- Must pass a pre-employment DOT physical and DOT drug/alcohol test.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make sound safety judgments.
- Must have a clean MVR
