Senior Project Development Engineer
Responsibilities :
- The development of energy audits and performance contracts by assisting assigned staff Engineers and Project Managers with developing design concepts for energy conservation measures by identifying, assessing, and structuring technical and financial solutions to meet customer objectives
- Identify, qualify, and quantify energy conservation measures (ECMs) associated with HVAC, EMS, building envelope, and heating and cooling systems
- Assist the design engineering staff in screening and qualifying the feasibility of energy efficiency and capital improvement opportunities. This will involve attending selected customer meetings, and conducting site trips to collect facility and utility data
- Develop and run energy screening models to determine the technical and economic viability of energy efficiency and capital improvement projects
- Screen models, including bin analyses, hourly building simulation computer models, and commercially-available analysis packages
- Direct junior staff in producing mechanical designs and drawings by providing guidance and training on mechanical system design, construction document preparation, and the use of various software programs
- Field work will be associated with documenting existing, as-built conditions during the development / design phase and inspecting contractors' work during the construction phase
