Position Purpose: To provide routine housekeeping work for PACE@Home to maintain the utmost standard in cleanliness.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Education: Minimum of a high school diploma. Must maintain CPR and First Aid certification.
Experience: One to three years’ experience in environmental services field preferred.
Skills/Abilities
Maintains ability to interact effectively with people. Possess excellent oral and written skills.
Physical Requirements
Person in this position could be at risk for exposure to infection, communicable diseases, odors, blood, excreta and/or hazardous materials. Employee will be working with terminally ill patients and/or their caregivers, which can cause periods of stress, variable workloads, flexible hours and deadlines. Travel is not a requirement of this position.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Collects trash, empty’s garbage containers and remove trash to disposal area. Sanitizes trash containers as necessary.
- Sweeps, mops, dusts, polishes, vacuums rugs and carpets, cleans restrooms, patient rooms, public areas, offices; washes windows, walls and other assigned areas.
- Cleans drinking fountains, sinks, sand urns, and blinds.
- Washes windows on an as needed basis.
- Reports repairs needed to supervisor and Maintenance including broken or cracked windowpanes, leaky faucets, toilets, loose tiles, broken blinds and damaged furniture.
- Follows universal precautions, blood borne pathogen procedures and uses personal protective equipment as needed while cleaning patient areas.
- Ensures janitorial supplies, materials and equipment are replenished and available in work areas.
- Reports needed supplies for reorder to the Finance Department.
- Meet standardized set of competencies for the specific position description established by PACE@Home and approved by CMS before working independently.
- Demonstrates familiarity with the personnel policies of PCHCV and understands and adheres to rules, regulations and standards of regulatory bodies and applicable accrediting agencies of PACE@Home.
- Complies in a timely manner to all mandatory in-service requirements of PACE@Home.
- Accepts other assignments as appropriate.
