Job Description
The Certified Medical Assistant will work closely with healthcare practitioners to support patient care. This includes greeting patients, preparing them for physical examinations, taking vital signs, reviewing medications and medical history, and performing ancillary tests as ordered by the supervising practitioner. The successful candidate will maintain supplies, clean rooms and equipment, and stock rooms with required supplies. They will also operate and maintain autoclave machines, calibration, and record-keeping in accordance with policy and procedure.
Requirements
To qualify for this role, you must have an Associate's degree and 3 years' experience or 5 years' medical assisting experience in a clinic setting. You should be certified as a Medical Assistant in Washington State and possess clinical competencies to perform the duties of a Certified Medical Assistant. Proficiency in using EPIC and current BLS certification from American Heart Association (AHA) or Military Training Network (MTN) are preferred.
