What are the responsibilities and job description for the Paint Hanger position at KINZE MANUFACTURING?
Kinze is currently seeking a Paint Hanger/Forklift Operator to join our manufacturing team in Williamsburg, IA. This position assists the production process by loading and unloading the paint line while maintaining the supply and storage of parts.
Position Duties:
- Work safely and effectively in a Lean Manufacturing environment
- Hang, remove, and package parts on and off of the blue paint line
- Operate all equipment in a safe and efficient manner following prescribed work methods
- Maintain efficiency and productivity of the powder coating to meet their customers’ schedules and Kinze quality standards
- Responsible for quality checks to ensure parts are in spec
- Perform regular checks of forklift to ensure good working order before operating
- Operate forklift and attachments, walkie rider, and tugger safely and efficiently
- Input and Retrieve data to assigned bar code units
- Keep appropriate records and reports to guarantee tight inventory control and data storage
- Perform regular echelon machine maintenance on forklift
- Identify opportunities to improve Safety, Quality, Cost and Delivery
- Maintain proper 5S, housekeeping and safety standards
- Responsible for your safety and safety of others
- Assist other departments when necessary
