Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Room Attendant to join our hospitality team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and overall appearance of guest rooms and public areas within our establishment. This position is essential for ensuring a comfortable and welcoming environment for our guests, contributing to their overall experience.
RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:
1. Reports for duty on time and in proper uniform.
2. Cleans entire bedroom area according to established procedures.
3. Cleans entire bathroom area according to established procedures.
4. Replenishes all guest room supplies according to established levels.
5. Reports all repairs needed in guest rooms to the Housekeeping Supervisor.
6. Brings all items found in vacant rooms immediately to the Housekeeping Office.
7. Clean all rooms assigned by the Supervisor/Manager
8. Reports the status of rooms as they are completed to the Housekeeping Supervisor.
9. Returns equipment and supplies to the proper storage areas.
10. Follows proper safety, security, and hospitality procedures.
11. Identifies special Kinzie signature impressions to personalize and enhance the experience for the guest. Help identify preferences of guest to help build profile.
12. Performs other related duties as requested by the Executive Housekeeper or the Housekeeping Supervisor.
APPEARANCE AND GROOMING: All staff members are required to follow the guidelines set forth by the associate handbook.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos, ability to write simple correspondence, ability to effectively present one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other staff members of the organization and hospitality community.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra.
REASONING ABILITY: ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished written, oral, or diagram form, ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations and ability to address customer personalities in various business situations.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by a staff member to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. While performing the duties of this job, the staff member is regularly required to stand, walk and use hands and fingers, to handle and feel objects, tools controls; talk with and hear guests. The staff member is occasionally required to sit. The staff member must frequently lift and/or move up to 150 pounds. The specific vision abilities required are close vision.
WORK ENVIRNMENT: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those a staff member encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
