Kinzler Construction Services company of Denver, CO is looking to hire a full-time Bilingual Project Superintendent to manage projects that require additional oversight and planning beyond Sales or Operations (such as residential quality assurance, fireproofing, or multi-scope commercial projects). A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A PROJECT SUPERINTENDENT
The employee chosen for this role, will transition into it over a 9 - 12 month training period. As a Project Superintendent you will lead, manage, and hold crew accountable for daily production and quality assurance. Oversee and direct commercial construction projects from beginning to completion for all Kinzler scopes of work. Review the project in-depth to confirm schedule, materials, labor, and estimated costs. Prepare budgets for each scope of work per job site and ensures the budgets are executed and are on-track.
The role will have you selecting tools, materials, equipment needed to perform work, and track inventory. Prepare internal and external reports pertaining to job status and project timelines by using in-house computer software. Identify and manage project dependencies by planning to prevent problems and resolve any emerging ones. Assess and manage the risk of schedule and labor changes. Be the point of contact for the General Contractor on the job site. Identify and create change orders. Change orders must be documented and signed by the GC or its representative prior to any additional work being performed. Effectively communicate project expectations and progress to our customers, team members, and management in a timely and clear manner. Deal promptly and fairly with customer complaints. Thoroughly knowledgeable about Kinzler product offerings, install best practices and quality control of our vendors products.
QUALIFICATIONS
- A bachelor's degree in construction management with 2 years of supervisor experience or a high school diploma or GED with five years of construction or industry experience and 2 years of supervisory experience.
- MUST be bilingual, English and Spanish.
- Ability to read, interpret and estimate blueprints or computer-based building plans.
- Knowledge of building products, construction details and relevant rules, regulations, and quality standards.
- Excellent time and project management skills.
- Competent in conflict and crisis management.
- Ability to operate company forklift and maintain forklift certificate.
- Must have a clean driving record and possess the ability to obtain CDL.
- Must possess above average computer skills with desire to learn.
- Candidate must be authorized to work in the United States.
