Retail Associate will offer a consumer centric experience of the Kiolbassa Company Store by greeting and servicing customers, visitors and team members. This team member will assist the customer with products, and merchandise including delivering product to their vehicles. Retail Associate will assist Retail Customer Service Specialist in tracking and verifying incoming and outgoing shipments by documenting in a precise and efficient manner. This includes supporting accurate inventory counts, the manufacturing and distribution departments with inventory needs, and daily reporting.

- Provide customer service by listening, communicating effectively, and finding resolution to situation on hand
Customer Service:
- Responsible for properly greeting and servicing all customer, visitors and team members.
- Execute daily opening/closing procedures including preparing and closing out register on assigned workdays.
- Assist Retail Customer Service Specialist by answering and following through with phone calls and customer inquiries.
- Keeps management informed by reviewing and analyzing inventory reports; summarizing information; identifying trends.
- Assist all walk-in customers by providing excellent customer service.
Department Objectives:
- Perform physical counts, track, and maintain accurate inventory utilizing a documenting system.
- Verify content; sell by date, and quantity of all shipping and receiving. Report damages or discrepancies.
- Check voicemail and online platform for future orders and process through POS.
- Ensure the cooler is well stocked and in good operating condition.
- Assist team members and other departments as needed.
- Perform responsibilities in a productive and efficient manner following all department process.
- Responsible for proper handling and packaging for retail department.
- Obtain merchandise requested/purchased by customer and assist by delivering to customer.
- Track and record inventory on hand and in the software system (Canopy).
- Prepare orders needed to be shipped out by Fed Ex for web, retailers and internal team members.
Safety & Quality:
- Maintain the quality of product while handling merchandise.
- Operate warehouse equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
- Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory, and company policies and procedures related to team member safety and food safety.
Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Job Requirements:
Education/Certifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Preferred: Forklift Certification
Experience:
- Microsoft office
- ERP (Canopy) experience
- POS experience
- Preferred: Experience working in a food manufacturing plant.
Knowledge/Skills:

Working Conditions and Physical Effort:
- Operate forklift and/or walk behind pallet jack.
- Must be able to see, stand, walk, use foot controls, use hands and fingers, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk and hear. Team member may also sit, climb, or balance.
- Requires lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Required to use dolly to move up to 100 pounds.
- Involves routine exposure to extreme temperatures, humidity, and/or noise when working in production and warehouse.
