Job Summary
Performs a variety of clerical accounting and record keeping duties in support of accounting functions; maintain related manual and automated records and files.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
> All Team Members must embrace and deliver Kiowa’s Guest Service Standards to every Guest on every shift, as outlined in Orientation, the Team Member Handbook, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and any other related training
> Consistently ensures an exceptional level of service and satisfaction is achieved throughout the property, exceeding the expectations of external and internal Guests alike in a timely and effective manner
> Coordinates communications and information with team members and management to assure smooth and efficient accounting activities.
> Establish accounting timelines and priorities.
> Assure proper and timely resolution of accounting discrepancies, issues, and conflicts.
> Prepares computer input forms, enters data into computer files, and accounting system.
> Enters vendor invoices into the accounting system.
> Ensures timely entry of all invoices and works with management and vendors on missing or incomplete invoices.
> Assists the Finance Manager, Accountant, and Payroll Supervisor with various requests at month-end.
> Required to pull documentation requested by external auditors.
> Adheres to all regulatory, departmental, and casino policies and procedures, and to the casino Internal Control Structure.
> All other duties as assigned
> Must adhere to departmental, organizational, state, and federal safety rules and regulations, applicable processes for safe operation, appropriate Personal Protective Equipment, in addition to any/all related controls for personal welfare and the safety of others
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSA)
> High School Diploma or GED required
> At least 21 years of age
> Associated Degree in Accounting or related field and 1 year Accounting experience and or 1 year in clerical, data entry or business related setting.
Preferred:
> Working knowledge of the Gaming Industry and the laws and regulations governing gaming operations

> Strong computer skills with experience in word processing, databases, and spreadsheets (ability to demonstrate proficiency)

Physical Demands / Work Environment
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Must be able to communicate using written, oral, and computer methods. Must be able to operate computer equipment (for extended periods of time).
WORKING ENVIRONMENT: Office, gaming floor, and convention center environment, to include; flashing lights, frequent loud noises, and cigarette smoke. Extensive computer use. Must be flexible with work schedule. Must be willing to work any hours and/or shift, as assigned, according to business needs. Occasionally must deal with angry or hostile Guests. High volume, direct public contact.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.18 - $19.30 per hour
