Job Overview:
Reporting to the Chief, the Executive Assistant serves as a primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders. The Executive Assistant organizes and coordinates executive outreach and supports special projects and initiatives. Additionally, the Executive Assistant coordinates logistics for the Chiefs meetings and events. The Executive Assistant will have the ability to work independently on projects, from conception to completion, and must be able to work under pressure at times to handle a wide variety of activities and confidential matters with discretion.
Job Responsibilities:
Executive Support 100%
- Support the Chief as a "gatekeeper", creating and supporting systems for direct access to the Chiefs time
- Work closely and effectively with the Chief to keep him/her well informed of upcoming commitments and responsibilities, following up appropriately
- Successfully complete critical aspects of deliverables with a hands-on approach, including drafting PPT presentations, acknowledgment letters, and personal correspondence
- Support Chief with internal communications, announcements and updates
- Generally serve as the Chiefs liaison with external contacts managing and responding to routine communications
- Research, prioritize, and follow-up on incoming issues and concerns addressed to the Chief, including those of a sensitive or confidential nature while determining appropriate next steps
- Coordinate all logistics related to annual meetings and retreats, including location, materials, technology, and food
- Proactively develop systems to increase the organization and efficiency of the Chief
- Track, monitor, and follow-up on projects and action items stemming from the Chiefworking closely with members of the Leadership Team to receive regular updates on outstanding items
- Coordinate preparation of, and submission of, meeting materials and documents necessary for effective and efficient collaboration
- Manage and maintain calendar and proactively identify potential conflicts and coordinate solutions
- Manage the Chiefs financial reports and reimbursement forms consistent with internal processes and deadlines
- Process invoices and payments for vendors
- Provide support for other projects and tasks as requested by the Chief

Compensation & Benefits:
Compensation for this role is between $55,000 - $65,000. The starting pay will depend on various factors that may include but are not limited to professional experience, education, training, and certifications.

Location & Work Conditions:
This position requires candidates to be based in Atlanta and regularly be in schools and able to attend in person meetings and events. Additional in person time may be necessary based upon organizational needs.
Bachelors Degree required
Minimum 5 years full-time related experience, preferably supporting C-Level Executives in a non-profit organization
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook) and G-Suite (Docs, Sheets and Slides) required
Excellent written, oral, and verbal communication skills with an ability to tailor communications appropriately to audiences
Detail-oriented with an ability to work independently
Effective time management with an ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced, demanding work environment
Exceptional work ethic and flexibility to work long hours, when needed
Professional, friendly, and adaptable personality that works well with others and is open to feedback
