Job Description
KIPP New Orleans Schools is seeking dedicated and reliable Hourly Substitute Teachers to provide high-quality instruction and maintain an engaging learning environment when full-time teachers are unavailable. Substitutes play a critical role in ensuring continuity of learning by implementing lesson plans, managing classroom behavior, and supporting students' academic and personal growth.
Key Responsibilities
Instruction & Classroom Management
- Follow and implement pre-prepared lesson plans to ensure student learning continues in the teacher’s absence.
- Maintain a structured and positive classroom environment aligned with KIPP’s expectations.
- Adapt instructional approaches as needed to engage students in learning.
- Effectively manage student behavior using KIPP’s classroom culture and behavior management systems .

This is an hourly role at $15.00 an hour.
