Job Description
Science Teacher (Biology, Chemistry, Environmental Science, or Physics)
At KIPP Tulsa, we are seeking a dedicated and passionate Science Teacher to inspire and challenge scholars in Biology, Chemistry, Environmental Science, or Physics. The ideal candidate will foster a love for scientific inquiry, critical thinking, and problem-solving while maintaining high expectations for academic excellence and personal growth.
Instructional Delivery and Assessment
- Develop year-long, Oklahoma standards-based unit plans and lesson plans that align with the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) and meet the diverse learning needs of all scholars.
- Design and implement hands-on, inquiry-based learning experiences that promote scientific literacy and real-world application of concepts.
- Utilize assessment data, including formative and summative assessments, to modify short- and long-term instructional plans, ensuring all scholars achieve academic success.
- Incorporate laboratory investigations, technology, and project-based learning to enhance student engagement and understanding.
- Embrace and incorporate feedback in the spirit of continuous improvement and professional growth.

Compensation and Benefits :
This is a Full-Time, 10-month teaching position.
Employees are eligible to participate in employer benefits including health, dental, life, accidental death and dismemberment, short and long term disability and participation in Oklahoma Teacher Retirement plans.
