Position Overview :
KIPP NYC is looking for teachers who combine the ability to motivate and educate to develop academic as well as character skills and to make a college preparatory education relevant both now and for the future.
Duties and Responsibilities :
General responsibilities include (but are not limited to) :
- Lead smallgroup instruction for grades K4.
- Teaching a rigorous academic curriculum which combines the schools standards and the New York State standards.
- Teaching students in a highquality exciting way.
- Committing to constant professional and personal growth through working closely as part of a team of teachers.
- Constantly assessing student progress and communicating results to families and colleagues.
- Providing individual or small group instruction for students who need additional assistance.
- Modeling a whatever it takes spirit to ensure that each student is successful.
- Modeling the schools values in all communications with students families and staff.

KIPP NYC offers a competitive salary ranging from $70829 $142270. Salaries are determined using an equitable compensation scale that accounts for years of experience relevant to the role NYS certification and licensure and longevity within the KIPP network. The KIPP NYC Recruitment Team will evaluate a candidates years of experience certification and longevity at point of hire to determine the step / level a new hire will be placed within our salary scale.
