As a KIPP Texas Public Schools Teacher your core responsibilities include :  < / p>

Instructional Delivery and Assessment : < / em>< / u>< / p>

• Develop yearlong Texas State standardsbased unit plans and lesson plans that meet all students learning needs.< / li>
• Use assessment data to modify short and longterm plans in order to promote all students academic performance.< / li>
• Embrace and incorporate feedback in the spirit of constant improvement.< / li>< / ul>

  Academic and Cultural Support :  < / u>< / em>< / p>

  • Collaborate with content and gradelevel teams to promote an environment of critical thinking and academic rigor.< / li>
  • Establish and maintain working relationships with students and families based on trust and respect.< / li>
  • Participate in the daily functions of the school such as morning lunch and afternoon supervisory duties.< / li>
  • Attend critical school events such as staff meetings open houses and parentteacher conferences.< / li>
  • Develop individualized learning plans for students and communicate these plans to families in parent meetings and conferences.< / li>
  • Meet professional obligations including timeliness and consistency in meeting deadlines.< / li>< / ul>
    

    Qualifications : < / b> < / p>

    Skills and Qualifications : < / u>< / p>

    • Bachelors degree from an accredited fouryear college or university< / li>
    • Demonstrated knowledge of core subject area assigned< / li>
    • Texas Teacher Certificate appropriate for level and / or subject area of assignment if applicable

    • Must be considered highlyqualified based on NCLB guidelines if applicable< / li>
    • Satisfactory outcome of a background check. Employees are responsible for a nonrefundable fingerprinting fee (approximately $50.00).< / li>< / ul>

        The starting salary for this role is $60500 with with the opportunity to earn more based on experience at an accredited K12 institution. See full salary scale here.< / p>

          The Teacher Career Pathway (TCP) at KIPP Texas celebrates individual teacher impact with students peers and the school community and rewards this impact with up to $15000 in additional annual compensation. KIPP Texas Public Schools is a TEA Teacher Incentive Allotment approved district! Eligible and qualifying teachers can earn up to an additional $32000 a year.< / p>< / p>
