High School PE Teacher 2025-2026 School Year

Working in either KIPP St. Louis High School youre an enthusiastic educator engaging in students pursuits outside of the traditional classroom setting. Whether you love physical educationmovement sports and team dynamics. Whether you are focused on strength training and conditioning or the art of getting students up out of their seats and moving; you love sharing your passion with your students. You can engage students across St. Louis as a Physical Education teacher at KIPP St. Louis Public Schools.

Position Type :  Fulltime Exempt 10 months

Start Date : Tentative July 21 2025

On a daytoday basis you can look forward to the following :

Curriculum Development and Instruction

Adapt and execute a rigorous standardsaligned curriculum

Develop academically rigorous lessons unit plans rubrics and assessments

Use data to inform instructional decisions

Provide students with daily feedback on performance and plan for individual learning needs

Help Build a Positive School and Classroom culture

Embody and maintain schools values policies and culture

Develop positive relationships with students families teachers and staff

Establish and maintain strong communication with all parents and share progress

Effectively supervise and manage a classroom of up to 30 students

Show up for critical school events including staff meetings open houses parentteacher conferences and more

Demonstrate a Growth Mindset

Pursue challenging professional goals each year

Give and receive positive and constructive feedback from your colleagues

Participate in schoolwide and individual professional development

Operate a computer and office equipment on a daily basis

Qualifications :

What you bring to the table :

Bachelors degree ( REQUIRED )

Valid Missouri Teacher Certification Missouri Substitute Certification or willingness to become certified ASAP ( REQUIRED )

Pass Criminal Background Check
