Purpose

We are currently seeking a Full-time Painter. Your strategic mindset will help us continue to innovate and maintain our competitive edge in the marketplace. Job Description The Industrial Painter is responsible for prepping, painting and finishing a variety of different surfaces including, but not limited to machinery, equipment, and large structures. This position requires knowledge of using a variety of sprayer guns as well as working with specialized coatings and single stage paints to ensure long-lasting finishes that meet safety and quality standards. Their primary goal is to ensure that manufacturing processes run smoothly and efficiently to assure customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities and Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) preferred, but not required

• Knowledge of (Safety regulations pertaining to painting, painting, auto body repair)

• Review work orders to ensure proper color is being applied

• Inspect equipment before painting

• Report any defects to the Production Manager

• Prepare equipment for paint

• Knowledge of a variety of spray guns

• Specialized coating and single stage paint experience

• Recording quantities of material used

• Recording job times on a time sheet

• Ensuring hazardous waste is identified and stored properly

• Keeping surrounding areas clean and free of debris

• Clean and return tools to their proper storage area when not in use

• Inspect equipment in use, checking for any problems and reporting or repairing them to prevent breakdowns

• Keep safety equipment clean and in good working order. Replace as necessary

• Wearing proper safety equipment as required

• Pass along all safety information or warnings to other employees

• Report any safety hazards or violations to the Production Manager

Other duties include but are not limited to:

• Forklift driving

• Assisting other work centers as necessary as workload shifts

• Keeping the outside and surrounding area cleaned up / weed free on an as needed basis

• Handling of hazardous materials such as disposal of aerosol cans, paint and acetone

Any other duties that may be assigned

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 80 pounds

• Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery and noise
