What are the responsibilities and job description for the Phlebotomist position at Kirby Medical Center?
Location: Monticello, Illinois
Shift: Evening
Schedule: 3pm-10pm M-F with possible weekend rotation
Job Summary: Performs venipunctures and skin punctures competently and expediently. Has thorough knowledge
of test requirements, assists in Clinical Laboratory as needed. Responsibilities include specimen collection, order
processing, and assisting lab techs as needed and clerical duties.

Regulatory Requirements:
- Eighty hours of training in the proper procedure to be employed in the performance of venipuncture and skin punctures under the supervision of the Phlebotomy Coordinator
- Medical Assistant or Phlebotomy certification preferred.
