What are the responsibilities and job description for the Retail Pharmacy Technician PT 16 position at Kirby Medical Center?
Description : The Pharmacy Technician will serve patients with rotations at Kirby Rx1 and Kirby Rx2. Hours will include 16 hours per week, working 1st and 2nd shift. Saturday rotation as needed. Technician will assist the Pharmacist in filling provider orders for all applicable formulations (oral, rectal, topical). Technicians are expected to answer phone calls, complete sales transactions, and provide outstanding customer service consistent with KMC standards
Essential Functions :
- Utilizes pharmacy software for daily operations which includes prescription filling, billing, and record keeping
- Perform order entry
- Maintain drug, OTC, and supply inventory along with daily reordering
- Utilize and manage point of sale drawers
- Serve as a drug information resource and pharmacy liaison for providers, residents, patients, and staff in appropriate units / departments
