Project Development Engineer
Kirby Risk has an exciting opportunity for a Project Development Engineer to work with new and existing customers to increase market share and drive the integration of new projects. We are looking for a results-driven individual with manufacturing awareness and a desire to build strong relationships both internally and externally.
Primary Responsibilities:
Assist in development and successful implementation of engineering sales goals and engineering customer service objectives
Actively seeks new customer opportunities that fit within the sales and marketing plan
Identifies potential new projects and provides updates project progress to KRSC Lafayette Project Development Manager
Coordinates with customer’s engineering personnel as directed by the KRSC Project Development Manager and/or the KRSC team
Develop project pricing in conjunction with the Project Development Manager and Sales Team Ensures growth and profitability
Partners with the KRSC Sales and Engineering teams to enhance communication with customers to ensure the best possible customer service outcome
Proposes engineering sales strategies based on market research
Role Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, engineering technology or other with relevant work experience
Excellent interpersonal and customer contact skills
Proven written and verbal communication skills
Proven presentation/facilitation skills, willing/able to lead initiatives
Ability to handle multiple tasks/priorities and successfully meet several deadlines at once while maintaining attention to detail and organization
Results-driven with the ability to effectively manage time and achieve engineering sales targets.
Hours & Travel:
This role will be 50% onsite, in office and up to 50% required travel to customers.
Office hours are 7:00am-4:00pm (hours are flexible)
Customer site visit hours may vary depending on location
