The Crusher Heavy Equipment Field Service Technician performs diagnostic and repair work on construction equipment in the field. They are dispatched through the service office and typically work with little supervision.
Crusher Heavy Equipment Field Service Technician / Mechanic Essential Functions
Diagnoses and evaluates problems with mobile crusher equipment and makes repairs using established guidelines in accordance with established flat ratesModels safe work habits and abides by all safety policies and procedures at all timesKeeps rework within established guidelinesWorks effectively without close supervisionMakes overnight stays on or near job sites when requiredCompletes required paperwork efficiently and timelyAttends factory and other training as specified by the supervisorMaintains service truck in good working condition and keeps it cleanExhibits a professional demeanor at all times with customers, managers, and colleaguesPromotes goodwill with customers and exhibits excellent customer relations behaviorsPerforms other assignments as requested by the managerCrusher Heavy Equipment Field Service Technician / Mechanic Qualifications
High School Diploma or EquivalentTwo (2) years of continuous experience in diagnosing and repairing construction equipmentAbility to read complex hydraulic and electrical schematicsFurnishes and maintains a set of hand tools and any special tools required by the companyMaintains a valid driver's licenseAbility to travel weekends and late nightsCrusher Heavy Equipment Field Service Technician / Mechanic Physical Requirements
Pushing / Pulling / Lifting / Carrying up to 100 pounds without assistancePhysical ability to squat, twist, turn, bend, stoop, climb, and reach overheadMust be able to work in extreme heat or cold and wet, damp, dusty, or windy conditions and tolerate exposure to typical noises, hazardous materials, and fumes / odorsPhysical ability to perform maintenance on equipment for extended hours with continual mounting and dismounting throughout the workdayAbility to adhere to personal protective equipment (PPE) policy and maintain individual PPE in functional conditionThis is considered a Safety-Sensitive position.
