Human Resources Generalist

Reports To: Human Resources Manager
Position Summary: Provides support to the assigned business. Runs the HR processes regarding employee relations, training, recruitment, development, implementation of policies and procedures in accordance with the company’s vision, mission, values, principles and HROE Team Goals.

Human Resources Generalist

Position Summary: Provides support to the assigned business. Runs the HR processes regarding employee relations, training, recruitment, development, implementation of policies and procedures in accordance with the company’s vision, mission, values, principles and HROE Team Goals.
Essential Job Functions (include but are not limited to):
- Provides guidance to managers regarding employee relations issues and policy interpretations to ensure consistency and equity within the business units as well as across the company and interprets policies, programs, procedures and advises employees
- Develops, manages, and facilitates training programs and curriculum that align with and support the business strategy
- Contributes and sustains the ongoing execution and development of the Talent Acquisition Strategy
- Promotes retention, employee engagement, training, and development strategies
- Develops and maintains relevant metrics by collecting and analyzing information; identify key trends and provide recommendations based on data; implement improvements to existing processes and solutions
- Encourages and advocates employee engagement and retention strategies and programs
- Investigates employee incidents and work with the location assigned Human Resource Manager to resolve; accurately record all interactions/incidents
- Maintains company strategies, policies, procedures goals, objectives, and associated processes
- Promotes the importance of an accurate and timely employee performance appraisals, assisting managers and supervisors as needed with the process
- Builds, promotes, and maintains constructive work professional relationships with other business units, departments, internal and external customers as a business partner
- Collaborates with HROE team and management to identify needs
- Demonstrates professionalism when representing the company in all communications with internal and external customers and vendors.
- Adheres to all company, policies, procedures, Values & Principles as a member of a Kirby Risk corporate department
- Conscious consideration of the Kirby Risk organization when engaging on social media, mindful of the images and language used
- Completes and demonstrates a full understanding of ongoing cyber security training concepts and applications
- In addition to the Essential Functions and responsibilities listed above, all positions are also responsible for:

- Adhering to Company policies, procedures, and directives regarding standards of workplace behavior in completing job duties and assignments while maintaining regular and timely attendance.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Leadership, Business related field or 5 years Human Resources relevant work experience
- 3 years proven experience in successfully deploying HR initiatives
- Good understanding of current employment laws, and practices
- Strong analytical skills and ability to provide insights on process and delivery improvements
- Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Strong interpersonal and coaching skills
- Ability to motivate, influence and persuade at all levels of the organization
- Exhibit necessary level of openness and empathy to effectively understand the needs of customers, both external and internal

- This position will be working with office equipment utilizing typical office equipment Computer, printer, copier, scanner, phone, all equipment related to area
