The Cell Operator will be responsible for setting up and operating assembly equipment as assigned. This role requires following work instructions, loading/unloading parts, and performing manual assembly, welding, and tapping operations. The Cell Operator will be responsible for setting up and operating assembly equipment as assigned. This role requires following work instructions, loading/unloading parts, and performing manual assembly, welding, and tapping operations. The ideal candidate will ensure quality and quantities of parts meet required specifications and production rates.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate assembly equipment as assigned.
- Follow work instructions as outlined in Standard Operation Sheets (SOS) and Job Element Sheets (JES).
- Loading/unloading parts in/out of welders, dies, trunions, and/or assembly fixtures.
- Operate equipment that welds, stamps, presses, crimps, stakes, and/or rivets together parts and/or sub-assemblies.
- Perform manual assembly, welding, and tapping operations as required.
Requirements:
- No minimum experience is required.
- Ability to read and demonstrate understanding of documents such as safety rules, work instructions, maintenance instructions, employee handbook, policies, and procedures.
- Ability to apply basic math skills such as adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing whole numbers, fractions, and decimals; ability to round numbers and calculate averages.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding and sound judgment to carry out detailed written or oral instructions.
