Position Purpose:
The Financial Analyst will provide support to the Vice President of Senior Living and the Chief Investment Officer in various activities. The analyst position will support these positions via financial analysis, financial modeling, assisting with vetting acquisition opportunities and due diligence activities, interacting with the sellers and lenders, and driving the research involved in identifying and analyzing potential projects supporting the evaluation, structuring and closing of real estate transactions and/or their associated financing. The analyst will collaborate with other members of the team and senior leadership.
Essential Job Functions
- Financial analysis and modeling.
- Support due diligence activities for financing, acquisition, and development opportunities.
- Assist in preparation of proposals and RFPs.
- Assist with the preparation of periodic briefings for Company management by completing tasks including, but not limited to, analysis of existing portfolio and associates refinancing, historical asset performance, and tracking status of active projects.
- Perform market research, summarize and present findings.
- Analyze and report on operational performance across various assets.
- Develop and update detailed financial models to support asset management and investment/acquisition efforts.
- Create and update slide decks for investment committee meetings, investor presentations, debt packages, and equity offerings.
- Data management, including oversight of a proprietary matrix for site selection and acquisition analysis.
- Monitor and track important contractual agreements and deadlines.
- Participate in capital raising efforts including maintaining investor database and tracking, setting up call lists and call assignments, making initial introductory calls, scheduling meetings and presentations, and providing follow-up calls and information.
- Support special projects in various verticals including development, subsidiary companies, asset and property management, and senior living including refinancings, property sales, and acquisition efforts.
- Complete competitive market studies and create presentations to summarize findings.
- Cultivate relationships and interact with brokers, owners, sellers and other market participants to source new opportunities and track market transactions.
- Work with consultants or industry experts to research best practices and identify prospective opportunities.
- Assist with the preparation of executive presentations and strategic business plans for real estate development and acquisition opportunities.
- Other projects and duties as assigned.
Educational/Experience Requirements

- Prior Commercial Real Estate experience preferred, experience with Senior Living, Industrial, Office and Retail projects preferred or prior financial experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Real Estate or other business discipline and evidence of continuing education.
