What are the responsibilities and job description for the Order Entry - Customer Support Specialist position at KIRK KEY INTERLOCK?
An order entry specialist is responsible for the entry of all customer orders upon receipt of their PO through to the shipment of an order, should any questions or follow-up occur during that time. This role will be working with both external customers and internal employees, such as sales team members and operations, as it pertains specifically to order entry. Interactions will be purposeful as it pertains to the accuracy of order information to ensure the customer’s safety solution requirements can be manufactured as requested.
This role will be managed through KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) on the following:
· No. of orders entered.
· No. of line items entered.
· Order entry accuracy.
Essential Duties: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
· Represent KIRK in a positive and professional manner through written & verbal communications.
· Ensure delivery of excellent customer service through timely and accurate processing of orders.
· Accurately evaluate and process orders through ERP system.
· Gather and organize all pertinent documentation required for order record.
· Assist in answering/managing customer support call flow.
· Support sales team with customer needs such as order information, customer follow ups, quality issues, and all processes & procedures required.
· Work cross functionally with accounting and operations to follow customer support best practices.
· Perform individual work and assist other team members as needed.
· Other projects and duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent required. Previous experience in customer service and or a support role in which internal or external customers were the priority. Experience within a fast-paced manufacturing business is plus.

Travel: Occasional overnight travel required
