Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Service Manager to lead our service department. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in automotive service and repair, with exceptional customer service skills. As a Service Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, managing staff, and ensuring customer satisfaction while maintaining high-quality service standards.

Duties

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the service department, ensuring efficient workflow and productivity.
  • Supervise and train service staff, including mechanics and service writers, to enhance their skills and performance.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries, concerns, and complaints promptly and professionally.
  • Oversee the scheduling of repairs and maintenance services to optimize shop efficiency.
  • Collaborate with sales teams to promote services and drive revenue growth.
  • Maintain accurate records of services performed, parts used, and customer interactions.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies within the service area.
  • Monitor inventory levels of parts and supplies to ensure availability for repairs.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations for team members to foster professional development.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in automotive service management or a similar role is preferred.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in diesel engine repair, brake repair, auto body repair, or general automotive repair.
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and staff.
  • Proficiency in sales techniques related to automotive services is a plus.
  • Familiarity with service writing processes and software is desirable.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Strong leadership skills with the capability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
  • A valid driver's license is required.

Pay: $65,995.00 - $80,000.00 per year
