Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Regional Sales Manager to lead and expand sales within their designated territory. The ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic advocate for Kirk-Rudy, responsible for developing and executing effective sales strategies to grow the customer base. This includes driving direct sales while collaborating with the dealer network to enhance market reach, fostering strong client relationships, and achieving revenue targets.
The role comes with full P&L responsibility for the region and is ideal for a self-starter who thrives in an autonomous environment and enjoys taking ownership of their territory's success. The successful candidate will bring experience in selling solutions such as digital printing, inkjet, software, and finishing, with a solid understanding of applications in the mailing, packaging, and commercial print markets.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Sales Leadership:
    • Develop and execute regional sales strategies to achieve or exceed sales revenue targets.
    • Identify growth opportunities and own expansion of market share within the region.
    • Manage and grow an assigned sales territory, maximizing sales potential within the region through effective time management and travel to client sites.
    • Support associated dealer network by engaging in sales activities, providing sales support, product knowledge and representing Kirk-Rudy to grow sales revenue.
  • Client Relationship Management:
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients.
    • Address client inquiries, concerns, and feedback promptly to ensure customer satisfaction and retention.
    • Engage with customers, identify new prospects, and manage the sales process from initial presentation through to ROI/cost analysis, product demonstration, closing sales, and ensuring product delivery and customer satisfaction.
  • Market & Product Expertise:
    • Stay current with industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities.
    • Demonstrate a strong understanding of the company’s products/services to effectively position them to clients.
    • Provide insights and recommendations to senior management to inform business strategies.
  • Sales Reporting and Forecasting:
    • Track sales activity and performance using Kirk-Rudy’s CRM software, provide regular updates to VP of Sales, and develop accurate sales forecasts to meet targets.

Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (Master’s degree a plus)
  • Experience:
    • Minimum 5 years of experience in outside sales, with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Skills:
    • Strong Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively present and negotiate with clients at all levels.
    • Sales Strategy & Planning: Experience in developing and executing effective sales strategies, prospecting, and lead generation within a defined territory or market.
    • Product Knowledge: Understanding of the company’s products and services, as well as how they align with customer needs and provide value. Ability to quickly learn and communicate technical product details when needed.
    • Proficiency in CRM tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Other:
    • Travel – Approximately 60% Ability to travel frequently within the assigned territory, attending client meetings, industry events, and conferences as necessary.
