Job Summary : We seek a highly organized and detail-oriented Legal Case Manager specializing in Social Security Disability (SSD) to join our growing legal team. This role is ideal for someone with experience managing SSD cases from intake through adjudication and who is passionate about assisting clients in navigating the complex SSD process. The Legal Case Manager will work closely with attorneys, clients, medical professionals, and government agencies to ensure the successful preparation and submission of claims.
Key Responsibilities :
- Case Management : Oversee the entire lifecycle of Social Security Disability claims, including case intake, documentation, filing, and follow-up. Ensure all necessary paperwork is submitted to the Social Security Administration (SSA) promptly and accurately.
- Client Communication : Serve as clients' primary point of contact throughout the SSD process. Provide clear updates and assist clients with understanding their rights, the application process, and what to expect during hearings or appeals.
- Document Review and Preparation : Review client medical records, work history, and other relevant documentation to ensure all required information is included for the SSD claim. Prepare and submit applications, appeals, and other related documents.
- Appeals and Hearings Support : Assist in gathering evidence, preparing case files, and ensuring timely submission for appeals and hearings before the Administrative Law Judge (ALJ).
- Medical and Vocational Expert Coordination : Coordinate with medical professionals and vocational experts to gather necessary information and documentation that supports the client's case.
- Record Keeping : Maintain accurate and up-to-date case files, tracking case progress, deadlines, and upcoming events.
