Overview
The Shipping Clerk will support DC operations by systemically adding and closing out trailers in WMS, ensures proper carrier trailer is placed in correct doors, and completes all necessary paperwork for all store and warehouse shipments.
Responsibilities
- Assists Distribution Management in basic and clerical duties
- Performs document preparation, control, and filing activities
- Perform daily end of shift reports
- Communicates with supervisors, team leads and transportation of daily needs.
- Completes daily yard checks and multiple spreadsheets
- Demonstrates a commitment to Kirkland's Values
- Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED strongly preferred; combination of education and experience may be considered
- Proficient in basic computer skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office
- RF scanning proficient
- Must operate in compliance with all company policies.
- Must be able to work safely in a fast pace environment.
- Must be highly motivated and a self-starter and be able to work independently as well as with others in a cooperative team environment.
- Must be able to problem solve
- Ability to work at a computer for extended periods of time as needed
- Ability to lift 50 pounds or more
- Ability to lift and handle cases in a variety of sizes and weights
- Ability to work in a non-temperature controlled warehouse/distribution center setting
