About the Job:
This position will involve operating and maintaining our water and wastewater treatment plants, as well as responding to emergency situations. The ideal candidate will have experience working with water and wastewater treatment plants and a strong understanding of safety procedures and regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain water and wastewater treatment plants
- Conduct routine maintenance tasks, including cleaning and inspecting equipment
- Monitor and control system operations to ensure safe and efficient delivery of water and wastewater services
- Respond to emergency situations, such as pipe breaks or equipment failures
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in environmental science, engineering, or a related field preferred
- At least 2 years of experience working with water and wastewater treatment plants
- Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations, including OSHA and EPA guidelines
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
