HVAC Trade Summer Intern (Graduating Students)

Kirlin Way Mechanical is a leading Mechanical Contractor with locations in Raleigh and Charlotte. We specialize in commercial air conditioning, plumbing, piping, and system maintenance. Our expertise includes design-build, design-assist, preconstruction, commissioning, building information modeling (BIM), and quality control.

MUST be enrolled in an Air Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration Technology program

We are seeking motivated Skilled Trade Interns to gain hands-on experience in Sales, Operations, HVAC, Service and Mechanical Installation. This internship offers a unique opportunity to rotate through key departments, working alongside experienced professionals to develop practical skills and industry knowledge.

What You’ll Gain:

• Field Experience – Shadow Service Technicians and assist in mechanical installations and repairs.
• Account Management Exposure – Work with Service Account Managers and Sales Executives to go over scheduling, job cost, estimating, tracking progression of proposed work, bids, etc.
• Industry insight – Learn about sales, operations, and field technician responsibilities

Who We’re Looking For:

• Students graduating with a certification in Air Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration Technology
• Strong interest in mechanical contracting, commercial projects, or HVAC systems.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive with a go-getter attitude.
• Proficient using Microsoft Office and eager to learn CRM programs and tracking software.

Internship Responsibilities:

• Assist in fieldwork to Perform Preventative Maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs of Commercial HVAC equipment.
• Support Account Managers and Sales Executives in tracking project progress, customer development, managing documentation, and follow-up on sales opportunities.
• Help ensure compliance with project specifications, schedules, and budgets.
• Participate in team meetings, site visits, and vendor/client coordination.
