What are the responsibilities and job description for the Preschool Teacher Aide position at KIRPC Head Start?
Teacher Aide at the Goodland location. High School Diploma or GED required, CDA preferred. Experience working with preschool children required. Aides also help when kitchen when needed. Part Time 28 hours per week Monday through Thursday 8-3:30. Benefits include holiday and bereavement pay.
KIRPC Head Start initiated in 1997. The federally funded program is designed to foster healthy development in low-income children. KIRPC delivers a range of services, responsive and appropriate to each child and family’s heritage and experience that encompass all aspects of a child’s development and learning. Children are present for class Monday through Thursday 8:30-3:00.
All staff are trained annually in CPR/First Aid, child abuse, drug and alcohol abuse, medication administration, and several other topics. School Readiness and Family Engagement is the focus of the program.
All positions must be able to pass a health exam, TB, criminal record check, and drug test.
